888 Holdings has recently announced the launch of Poker 8, its new generation online poker platform that will be available to its customers on the 888poker.com network. The legendary poker company has had a bit of a rough patch in the recent past and it is now targeting the new age of online poker players who it hopes will be sufficient to take it back to being a leading online poker provider.

The new generation online poker platform is going to be rolled out gradually over the next few months and it will include almost every feature that online poker players have come to love and enjoy from the 888poker.com network. It will also be immensely better since it has also been built based on feedback regarding common complaints about the existing 888poker platform. The players can, therefore, expect to be treated to some outstanding improvements in both graphics and functionality.

“Over the coming months, all players will benefit from additional upgrades and improvements to our next generation poker platform and we’ll be taking on board customer feedback about the new features. Once the roll-out is complete, we believe our best-in-class platform will offer the most entertaining and engaging experience on the market,” 888Holdings’ senior vice-president of B2C Guy Cohen commented.

A cleaner design is one of the main things that make this new online offering such a big deal and 888 highlighted this during the press release. In addition to that, Poker 8 also promises a smoother transition for multi-table players to move from one table to the next effortlessly. Navigation and user experience are also going to be top of the range thanks to the plethora of lobby improvements that have been baked into the platform – this is great for the ever-increasing number of mobile gamers since they can now enjoy the full poker experience with little to no compromise to quality, quantity or gameplay.

The Rake or Break Initiative

888Poker’s RakeLESS Sunday promotions have quite the reputation among fans of online poker promotions. The poker operator is taking this a notch higher with the launch of their new Rake or Break Promotion that will kick off on Sunday 24 March on the new Poker 8 client.

For this particular promotion, 888poker will select three tournaments each and every Sunday – each of these prize pools will have guaranteed prize pools of up to $100,000 and to make it even better, in case they feel to hit the guarantee, the company will be refunding all the tournament fees as well as the reentry fees. They will also increase the next week’s guarantee by 10 percent. This is definitely worth checking out.
