Kambi Group Extends Footprint in the US with Pa. Sportsbook - News : News

As it waits for the approval of its operating license, the Stockholm-listed Kambi Group is already making tremendous strides towards extending its footprint in the United States. Its most recent venture is a multi-year partnership agreement with Greenwood Gaming and Entertainment which owns and operates Parx Casino in Pennsylvania, a move that did not come as much of a surprise as both parties have been through months of talks and negotiations. Kambi believes that it was always bound to win the contract thanks to its “unblemished record of regulatory compliance and corporate probity.”

Pennsylvania’s gambling industry has seen a vast number of changes and development over the past year especially in regards to online or mobile betting and sports betting. Both of these aspects of the gambling industry are well on the way – in fact, sports betting already went live at the Penn Natioanal Gaming Inc.-owned Hollywood Casino at the Penn National Race Course. Operators in the state that are interested in offering either sports betting or online betting or both are already preparing by inking a number of lucrative partnership deals and Parx Casino is just one of them.

The multi-year agreement between Parx Casino and the Kambi Group will see the latter deploy its retail sports betting technology and services at the former’s gaming floors in Pennsylvania as well as in the neighboring state of New Jersey where Greenwood Gaming has had its sights set on for quite a while.

Kambi has always had plans to offer its services in the state of Pennsylvania and this can be seen in how proactive it has been when it comes to pursuing the venture – it has already partnered with three casinos and is only waiting to have its licenses approved and it will be good to go.

What Should Pennsylvanians Expect?

As of now, the Kambi Group is working round the clock to get their mobile betting operations off the ground so that it will complement their over-the-counter betting services which will be conducted through sports betting kiosks. Kiosks have always been an integral part of Kambi’s business model simply because the company’s customers have been impressed by the instant access to wagering options that they offer as opposed to sports betting windows which often have long queues.

Surprisingly, despite the anticipated success of their sports betting kiosks in the Commonwealth as well as other states, the Kambi Group has not dealt with them for a very long time. Still, the company has managed to amass a massive amount of experience within the period within which it has operated in the United States and this is sufficient enough to fuel its next ventures. Kambi has quite the footing in the US through a partnership with SugarHouse Casino where its operated the PlaySugarHouse betting app.
