The Mountain Airy Casino has officially opened its new venue for poker and sportsbetting. It has been launched in partnership with PokerStars, and presents players with a brand new place to experience exciting gaming activities.

The grand opening of the venue took place on November 9th. The sportsbook features 40 televisions and 8 kiosks for sportsbetting. There is also a total of 12 poker tables, which is an increase from 11 that the venue had in September.

That’s the same number of poker tables as the Sun Pocono Casino, which is Mount Airy’s biggest competitor. However, the venue did not apply for an online poker license and has therefore not partnered with a big-name digital brand. So, Mount Airy will really give Sun Pocono a run for its money now.

PokerStars has been involved in all aspects of the redevelopment of Mount Airy’s new poker room and sportsbook. The brand has even put its name on the renovated convention centre, which would make for the perfect location for live poker tournaments.

In addition to being a traditional poker room and sportsbook, Mount Airy also wants to provide players with innovative gaming experiences. The company wants its players to multi-table at both online and land-based tables at the same time. Since live poker tends to be quite slow going, players will have the chance to play in online hands from their mobile devices while waiting on decisions and for other players to act.

“Now, our guests can watch, bet, and play cards all in the same integrated location — and during sporting events’ infamously long commercials, they have the option of gaming from their phones at the world’s largest online poker site.”

– reads a statement from Mount Airy

The project is sure to benefit Mount Airy, resulting in more profits for the casino. In September the venue reported a 17% year-over-year increase in poker revenue, and it will surely increase with an additional table and PokerStars branding behind it.

Things are really picking up in Pennsylvania’s poker market. While it did take some time for online poker to launch in the state, players now have access to play at PokerStars PA and they can enjoy playing live poker in a totally revamped Mount Airy poker room.

It’s certainly a great sign that the poker scene in Pennsylvania will be a thriving one. Both online and live poker will benefit from these developers, and players are sure to be thrilled with all of the great new opportunities available to them.
