Renowned poker operator has recently announced the dates for the 2019 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP). The event is set to kick off on Sunday, May 12 and will come to an end on May 27 and as usual, the players will be treated to a range of low, medium, and high version of events. With these three levels of buy-ins, players of all categories will be allowed to participate in the games without necessarily investing more than they are willing to part with.

The 2019 SCOOP will hopefully follow the massive success of the 2018 SCOOP that had a total of 61 events as well as more $110 million in guaranteed prize pools. This year, the number of events and the guaranteed prize pool is expected to be higher than it was a year ago. The main highlight of the series, as always, will be the marquee Main Event that will go down on May 26.

At the mains event Takanza, an Austrian player, will be defending his win at the 2018 SCOOP that saw him walk away with a whopping $1.1 million.

Expansion in the Southern European Market

Long before the 2019 SCOOP tournament, PokerStars has also announced that it will be rolling out the highly praised SCOOP brand across the Southern European market. This will now allow Portuguese poker players to join their French and Spanish counterparts for the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP).

The poker operator is guaranteeing a whopping €15 million in prize money spread out across a total of 290-events with reasonable buy-ins ranging from as little as €5 to as much as €250 which means that it will be a great opportunity for all kinds of gamers – whether you are a very budget-mindful player or you are a high roller, PokerStars will definitely have something for you.

Last year the PokerStars SCOOP had 37,000 participants from Spain and France – this number is definitely going to rise significantly now that Portuguese players are also in the mix.  Some of the events that poker players intending to participate in the championships should look forward to include the €250 buy-in, €1m GTD EQUINOX on March 24, the €250 buy-in, €1m GTD Main Event on April 7, and the €10 buy-in, €200,000 GTD Super Classico on March 24.

There is also the Italian SCOOP that is scheduled to run as from March 24 to April 8 and it will include a €5m GTD SCOOP Series, with a €250 buy-in, €500,000 GTD Main Event that is will go down on April 7.
