Rush Street Gaming Launches New Sugarhouse Sportsbook As BetRivers - News : News

The new BetRivers Sportsbook is now open to the public in Pennsylvania. The entire project has cost $5 million, and promises to provide players with state-of-the-art betting facilities in a modern setting. The project has been launched by Rush Street Gaming, and is part of the rebranding of the Sugarhouse name as Rivers.

An Ultramodern and Inventive Sportsbetting Destination

BetRivers will feature 22 self-service betting terminals and six betting windows. A number of wagering options will be available to punters, allowing them to bet on football, basketball, hockey, college sports and more. Visitors must be over the age of 21 to wager on sports, and to enter the gaming floor.

There’s lots more to the new BetRivers space than providing punters with the opportunity to wager on sports, though. It will also feature a lounge, where sports fans can watch their favourite teams compete in a comfortable and stylish setting.

The new venue spans 5,700 square feet, and is triple the size of the temporary venue that it is replacing. It has been kitted out with state-of-the art technology, including an HD video wall that can show multiple games at once.

“The brand-new BetRivers Sportsbook is a must-see venue for every passionate Philly fan,” says Rob Long, General Manager at SugarHouse Casino. “If they can’t make it to the game, our guests will love watching the action in Philadelphia’s ultimate game-day destination.”

Dwayne MacEwan, an award-winning architect, is behind the design of BetRivers. His vision for the venue has been to create an innovative destination, that has been specially designed to provide visitors with the best experience possible for enjoying sports in a wide variety of ways.

It makes for a great destination for fans of the Philadelphia Flyers, which entered into a multi-year partnership with Sugarhouse earlier this year. Sugarhouse (soon to be BetRivers) is the official sportsbook of the city’s hockey team, so you’ll be seeing the company’s branding in the Wells Fargo Arena and there will be plenty of media placements linking the two brands.

A New Name for Sugarhouse

BetRivers is not just the name of the new sportsbook; will also be rebranding using the name as part of the company’s rebranding strategy. This means that Sugarhouse’s online and mobile offerings will also be rebranded under the BetRivers name.

The transition was announced in July 2019, when Sugarhouse Casino announced that it would become Rivers Casino. The goal is for Rush Street Gaming, which owns Sugarhouse, to create a more cohesive brand across its Pennsylvania gaming venues.
