William ‘Twooopair’ Reymond has triumphed in the WSOP.com online event and the first online bracelet of 2018 after taking down Event #10: $365 WSOP.com ONLINE No-Limit Hold’em for a whopping $154,996. Twooopair who doubles up as French journalist and is currently working on a book about the Kennedy assassination was among the 2,972 entries in the WSOP.com event which is the first of the four online events that have been scheduled for the summer of 2018.

The significantly large number of entries was achieved despite the fact that there were some connectivity issues earlier on Sunday – this proves just how popular the event is among poker enthusiasts. In fact, the number of entries for this particular event broke the record by making it the biggest online tournament ever held in the state of Nevada.

Of the 2,972 players who participated, a total of 333 players were able to cash for a share of the mind-boggling $974,816 prize pool. However, it was at the final table where the majority of the money, as well as the hallowed World Series of Poker gold bracelet,  was won.

Another new winner who also put on quite a show was Julien Martini who on Sunday managed to beat Kate Hoang to win his first ever career WSOP bracelet and a whopping $239,771. The poker star has been a poker fun for a very long time and often watched poker tournaments and games on TV in awe of the pros as well as the big stakes that make the game so exciting.

“When I was 14 and I started poker, I was like, ‘Whoa, what kind of guy can win a $1,500 tournament or a $10,000?’,” said Martini after his win. “I was dreaming about this for seven years. It’s one of the best things in my life. I’m super proud and very happy.”

During the final table of the $1,500 Omaha Hi-Lo Event that was concluded on Sunday, four players returned. It started with Julien Martini as the chip leader with 3.7 million followed by Kate Hoang who had a stack of 2.25 million. In the end, things played out in favor of Julien – he did put a good fight and rightfully deserved the win.
